Pizza Cucinova: Bruschetta Pizza
Never trust anyone that says they don't like pizza. I'm fairly certain this is the golden rule everyone talks about. Seriously, what kind of serial killer doesn't like pizza. You dont need that kind of negatvitiy in your life. Pizza is universal, like math, and who doesnt love a good pie (math pun NAILED IT). And pretty much impossible to screw up. Any pizza is good pizza. But I'm not trying to live in a world filled with "good" pizza. I wanna be where the great pizza is. That is why I am super happy to have found PizzaCucinova. I am reviewing the Columbus Ohio location (obviously since I live here) but never fear Houstonians, because there is a location in your city! Yay.
First I would like to tell you a little bit about the restaurant first since I'm sure not a lot of people have heard of it. It's a sleek modern fast casual pizza restaurant. Really fast. Like cook you a fresh pizza in under 5 minutes fast. Its set up is similar to Chipotle's business model without the ecoli. Theres a big buffet looking display of all the ingredients and you just go down the line and tell the worker what you want. Don't quote me on the prices but I am pretty sure a 10 inch pizza with unlimited toppings is only 8 bucks. Now 10 inches doesn't sound like its very big (amirite ladies), but its plenty for a meal. Especially if you load it with toppings. I've been here a couple of times and I always get the same pizza. It's the best on the menu and it is only 7 bucks. The Bruschetta Pizza!
The Bruschetta Pizza has the following toppings: Pesto, Shredded & Sliced Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato, Arugula, Lemon Vinaigrette, and a Balsamic Glaze. Its one of the most beautiful pizzas you will ever see. The picture almost doesnt look real. I assure you the pizza is real. Real fucking good. Everyones had bruschetta before and I mean how can you go wrong. The combo of tomato, mozzarella, bread, basil and balsamic pairs so perfectly together. To be fair anything with balsamic is great, but this pizza takes a winning combination and takes it to a new level. The lemon vinaigrette adds some acidity to the pizza which balances the whole thing out. And the pizza crust is flavorful, garlicy, but not overpowering. Some pizza places get a little too cavalier with their pizza crust flavoring. Yeah I'm looking at you Dominos even though its waaaaaayyy better then the cardboard you used to sell.
Ive had Pizza Cucinova's meat lovers and their plain cheese pizza and both were fantastic pizzas. I don't think you can order anything off their menu and walk away disappointed. I don't know if I can say definitively that this is my favorite pizza I've ever had, but its definitely up there. Top 3. My wife (read that in Borats voice) said its the best pizza she ever had. But shes not a food blogger so take that opinion with a grain of salt. It takes some serious skill and talent to do what I do. Not everyone can eat food and also type a couple paragraphs about said food.

The beer I would pair with this pizza is Yuengling. You can pair a nice cold Yuengling with anything and just like pizza it will always be good.
